$2.2 Million Reached

Blue Lake Campaign Supporters Recognized by Campaign Leadership

In recognition of the essential role supporting churches played in the Blue Lake Campaign's reaching $2.2 million at the end of its first year, campaign leadership sent each church or group a Certificate of Appreciation and a letter from Gorman Houston, III, campaign chair.

Dear Friend of Blue Lake,

I want to thank you and your church for the great ways in which you are helping bring a new day at Blue Lake. I am tremendously appreciative. I want you to know that through your help and that of other churches, United Methodists in the Alabama-West Florida United Methodist Conference have accomplished something absolutely extraordinary. In just over a year the Blue Lake Campaign has received over $2.2 million in gifts and commitments. I am certain that we can reach our minimum goal of $3 million by conference. I hope to be able to report that we have well surpassed that goal.

We simply could not have made this progress without you. As a small but sincere expression of profound gratitude, I have included a certificate of appreciation for your support of Blue Lake. I encourage you to display it in a place where your congregation can see it, present it to your lay leadership at Charge Conference or some other gathering, include it in your newsletter, and celebrate your participation in Blue Lake’s transformation.

Also, please join me in continuing to pray for our work with Blue Lake, both as we continue to gather pledges and as we enter the payout period of our campaign. We have begun well, with your continued support and prayers, we will also finish well.

I am convinced that our faithfulness will ensure that Blue Lake will be a place where generations to come will have their own moments to remember, for life and forever!

Blessings to you!
